So first of all some exciting news!  I got a facebook AND a twitter!  Hahahah I know I am super behind the times on this, but listen, technologically speaking I do not belong in my generation so this is really quite a big step for me!  I would be so happy if you followed and liked my pages - you can find the links in my side bar - and I will do my best to return the favor in a timely manner (speaking of not so timely manner, I went through and returned the fan on everyone that has fanned me recently on lookbook, so sorry it took so long!!).  I have to admit though this is definitely a little intimidating for me, I wonder how people keep up with all these things without spending their entire life on the internet!

Now onto the OOTD!  So I am pretty sure most of you have heard of YesStyle, they offer a huge variety of clothing for really reasonable prices, and they have just recently launched  a new site Yeswalker.com!  This is an offshoot website of YesStyle and focuses on shoes and hand bagsAnd the best part?  They offer free worldwide shipping!!  You really can't beat that.  They sent me a pair of pumps to try out and they are so adorable!  I have been lacking a pair of nude pumps for lighter outfits so when I saw these I knew they were the ones I had to have.  I love that they are neutral, but also have the leopard detail that makes them so fun too!

And the winner of the giveaway is: Katie!!  Congratulations!

Pins By Lydra

First of all, I want to mention that I only feature companies/products on this blog that I stand behind and would shop at myself, that being said, I want to introduce you to the brand Pins By Lydra - a brand that creates designer leggings.  Printed leggings are a big trend, and Pins By Lydra is extra special because they collaborate with artists and musicians to create their designs!  Fashion is and always will be inspired by many varying art forms and you can really see this concept come to life in this brand!

Not only are their products beautiful, but they are also accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia to ensure that all workers involved in the process of creating the product have good working conditions and get paid fairly.  And guess what!  You can even get involved by submitting your work to be considered to take part in the initiative!!  Please check out their site and see the amazing collections they have come up with!  In working with the brand, I was asked to style a pair of their leggings in several different looks to be featured in the style section on their website and on facebook throughout the week so keep an eye out for those!  Here is what I came up with.  I had so much fun styling them and they are surprisingly versatile!  I would love to hear which look is your favorite :)

Take a Hike!

Sorry for the lack of outfit in this post and I know I just did a post about being outside, but like I said before, it is just so nice to be outside roaming around in nature! Plus I have to get outside for stuff like this as much as I can before summer is over. I really want to travel sometime in the relatively near future, but doing hikes like this reminds me there is a lot to see not far from where I am now! It was so beautiful outside and the hike was absolutely gorgeous! Near the top of the trail you could climb out onto the rocks around the falls and it was so incredible! These pictures don't even do it justice, seriously, I could have stayed up there all day long soaking in the sun with the sound of the water rushing around me. We didn't even complete the whole hike either so we are definitely going to go back and check out some of the lakes that are supposedly really beautiful too. So if you are lucky enough to still have some summer weather where you are get out there and enjoy it while you can!

Fresh Air

(sweater: J. Crew, dress/tights/belt: Target, boots: Ollio)

My bf's mom came up for the weekend, I didn't take any pics but it was really fun showing her around the city! We ate plenty of food, showed her some local spots, saw a lazer show,  and went to a comedy club so it was jam packed! Also moms are the best because they leave your apartment more clean then when they arrived hahaha.

Sunday me and my bf went to the local arboretum and it was such a nice, relaxing way to close the busy weekend. It is so easy to get distracted by the all the things going on around us so it was really nice to just be outside and walk around in the fresh air and peace and quiet! With all the goings on of every day life there are some days I don't even get outside for more than 10 minutes, and it is funny to think that nowadays you have to almost go out of your way to spend quality time outdoors! I definitely plan on doing things like this more often!

And It Was All Yellow

Happy Friday  everyone!  The temperature has gone back up and I am really happy about it!  Generally, fall is my favorite season but I am not quite ready to let go of Summer just yet!  This weekend my bf's mom is coming to visit so we are pretty excited to show her around the city!  Hope you hall have a great weekend!!

Labor Day

So we ended up taking an impromptu beach trip for Labor Day.  We had to work over the weekend, but some of the family was staying at the beach and invited us to come down Sunday night so we decided to pack our stuff and go!  There is nothing better than a spontaneous weekend trip, it really reminds me to do things like that more often!

It was so nice to just get away for a little bit and it was my first time seeing the Washington coast.  Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as nice as it had been so we didn't really get to have a "beach" experience, but it is not often that happens around here anyway so I expected that haha.  The place we were staying had a little trail going down to the beach so we walked down there just as the sun was setting and it was so breathtaking!  The next day we lounged around ate a huge breakfast (what is it about vacation that makes you eat like 5 times more than normal?) putzed around town and went back to the beach.  It was such a fun last minute mini vacation!  What did you do over Labor Day?  Hope you all had a blast!
