Firmoo Nerd Glasses and Giveaway!

So when Firmoo asked me to do another post for them featuring nerd glasses I was super psyched!  Nerd glasses used to have a bad rap (i.e. when I was sporting nerd glasses when I was super young and akward hahah), but they have made a huge comeback in the fashion world.  Even though the nerd glasses I am sporting these days are much more modern and fashionable, I couldn't help but be a little bit of dork in these photos!  But honestly, I think that is why I love nerd glasses so much - they are just an accessory you can experiment with, and most of all have fun with!

Now, I have to admit when the trend first started popping up I loved the look but didn't think I could really pull it off.  But then I thought about the advice I was always giving other people who told me they didn't think they could pull off some of the things they would see me wear.  And that advice is you can pull off anything you want to!  It sounds like silly advice maybe, but I think the hardest thing about trends like nerd glasses is just having the guts to try them out.  Once I did, I realized that as long as you like the look and have confidence in it then it will look good!  I am super glad I did because now I love sporting them!

So I would definitely encourage you to try them out if you have been a little shy to the trend because I promise you you won't regret it.  Firmoo has a great selection of nerd glasses available with prescription and fashion lenses - plus they have the First Pair Free Program so you can try them out without even paying a penny - now you really have no excuse!!  On top of all that they were kind enough to provide a giveaway where 25 readers can win a $20 dollar voucher!!  So with Thanksgiving coming up I would say that is something to be thankful for, so scroll down to see how to enter ;)

P.S. I am clearly in lounge around the house pajama clothing, but hey let's face it, sometimes there is nothing better then relaxing on your couch reading magazines and being lazy :p  Besides I am getting in Thanksgiving mode because this is what I will be doing after I have spent all day eating hahah hope you all have a wonderful holiday!!

LuLu*s Part 3

Time for the last installment of my mini series for LuLu*s.  This one features the BB Dakota by Jack Gill Brown SweaterI can't tell you how in love I am with this!  First of all, it is super warm for just a sweater which is really nice if it is chilly but I don't feel like wearing my full on coat.  Secondly, I have to say normally I wouldn't describe my style as being at all "glamorous," but that is why I love this so much because it adds that extra bit of glamor without being too over the top.  And of course I paired it with the Yoki Chelsea 06 Brown Chelsea Boots, oh yeah did I mention these were versatile? :p  But seriously, I have worn these boots almost every day since I got them hahahha.

LuLu*s Part 2

So here is the second post in my little series featuring LuLu*s: this one features the Sleeve It To Me Blue Shift Dress and the same boots from my first installment - the Yoki Chelsea 06 Brown Chelsea Boots.  First of all, I mentioned in the last post how versatile I think these boots are and so far they have proven me right!  They go with shorts, jeans, and in this case dresses too!  I also definitely have a thing for bell sleeves, they are just so wonderfully hippie 70's awesome haha especially since moving to the West Coast I have found I feel more of an urge to channel my boho vibe and this dress takes care of that perfectly while still being modern and easy to wear!  Hope you enjoy and stay tuned for my last installment featuring LuLu*s coming soon!

LuLu*s Part 1

So the amazing folks over at LuLu*s were kind enough to send me some stuff of theirs to review.  Lulu*s is definitely a site I check on the regular for online shopping so I was more than happy to do it!  They always have such a variety in their product and the prices are always reasonable.  They are also adding new products all the time so for us shopping addicts makes it that much more addictive!  They sent me a couple of items so I will be doing a couple posts featuring their stuff, the first one features the Mink Pink Once A Cheetah Orange Print Sweater and the Yoki Chelsea 06 Brown Chelsea Boots.

When I saw this sweater on the website I knew I had to have it!  It is so cozy and perfect for fall but it also is really vibrant and stands out!  Plus it has an animal on it which I am always drawn toI have been searching for a basic brown ankle boot for a bit because I have some black ones and they are so versatile, so I was really happy to find these on their site!  They are brown but almost have this burgundy undertone which is really pretty, and they will definitely go with almost any outfit!  So if you have never been to LuLu*s site, or it has been awhile, head on over!!  But I suggest you have some time to spare because you will probably be shopping for awhile ;)

Cities In Dust

So I am so excited to introduce to you guys a shop called Cities In Dust.  The owner, Meghan Lorenz, has a long list of fashion related experience including visual merchandising, window display, and a degree in Fashion Business.  She started making her own jewelry when she found it difficult to find pieces that she wanted to wear, and thus her awesome collection of jewelry was born!  All of her pieces have this really unique sort of industrial feel that make the name of her shop Cities In Dust so perfect!  She has also been featured for companies like Nylon Magazine and Urban Outfitters!  The piece I am wearing is the Jasper and Onyx Hexagon necklace - I love how unique it is and how the stone has this spacey sort of feel to it.  Please check out her shop I PROMISE you that you won't be dissapointed!
